This Privacy Policy explains how Company Registration LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), which operates the US State Filing Application website at llc-registration.org (the "Site"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website and services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. This Policy is part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
Information you provide
- Application & business details: your name, the proposed company name, business address, mailing address, member/owner names and ownership details, registered agent details, and similar information needed to prepare your filings.
- Account information: your email address and a password (stored in hashed form) used to access the portal.
- Contact information: details you submit through our contact form or by emailing us.
- Sensitive identifiers (only if required for a service you order): for example, a Social Security Number or other tax identifier needed for an EIN or tax-form service. We collect these only when necessary to perform a service you have requested.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected through standard server logs and similar technologies.
Payment information
If you make a payment, your card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Prepare, review, and submit your filings to the appropriate government agencies;
- Create and maintain your account and the document portal;
- Generate the documents and templates you request;
- Process payments and send order confirmations and account-setup links;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Services; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide the Services or as required by law, including with:
- Government agencies: the Secretary of State, IRS, or other agencies, in order to submit the filings you request;
- Service providers: the vendors described below that help us operate the Services, under obligations to protect your information;
- Professional and legal reasons: to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or legal process, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers or others; and
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy.
4. Service Providers
We rely on trusted third-party providers to deliver the Services. These currently include providers for cloud hosting and database storage, transactional email delivery, payment processing, and automated browser-based filing tools. These providers process your information only to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We may add or change providers over time.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the Site to function. For example, they keep you signed in to the portal through a secure session cookie. If you reach the Site from one of our advertisements, Google Ads may also set cookies that let us measure which ads lead to completed orders, and when you complete an order we may share a hashed (unreadable) version of your email address with Google for the same measurement purpose; these are used for measurement, and we do not use the Services to build advertising profiles about you. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the portal from working.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, maintain records of filings we made on your behalf, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed account passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to ask us to restrict certain processing. You can review and update much of your account information through the portal, or contact us to make a request. We will respond consistent with applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email support@llc-registration.org.
9. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites, including government agencies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
11. International Users
The Services are operated in the United States and are intended for U.S. business formation. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
13. Contact Us
