What it costs
Forming an LLC in Nevada costs $549 in total. That is one price covering both the Nevada Secretary of State's filing fee, which we pay on your behalf, and our service for preparing and filing the paperwork. There is nothing else to pay to get your LLC formed.
Nevada's price looks high next to other states because Nevada makes you file three things at once: the Articles of Organization, an Initial List of your managers or members, and a State Business License. All three state fees are included in our price, and you receive the stamped Articles, the Initial List, your Nevada Business Charter and your State Business License together.
How long it takes
Standard Nevada LLC processing takes 3 to 5 business days. We track each filing and deliver your documents as soon as the state issues them. Expedited Nevada LLC processing takes 1 business day.
Where Nevada filings get tripped up
These are the things we have actually run into filing in Nevada, in plain English.
- The Initial List and business license are due at formation, then every year
- Nevada collects the Initial List and the $200 State Business License up front, not later. Both renew every year by the end of the month your company was formed, so budget for an annual list plus the license fee.
- Your registered agent has to sign an acceptance for your exact name
- Nevada will not take the filing until a commercial registered agent has signed a Certificate of Acceptance naming your LLC. When you use our agent service we obtain it for you, which adds about a day before filing.
- Your managers or members go on the public record
- The Initial List names each manager or managing member with an address. If you would rather not list your home, give a business address you can receive mail at.
- Use “Suite”, not “#”
- Nevada's system does not accept the “#” character in addresses, so a unit number is written out, for example “Suite 110”.
What we need from you
Your business name, the address for the company, and the names of the members. That is the whole application, and it takes a few minutes. We prepare and file the Articles of Organization and Initial List for you, and handle the state's payment.
What you get
Your Articles of Organization, Initial List and State Business License from the state, delivered straight to your account as soon as Nevada issues it. From there you can add an EIN, an operating agreement, membership certificates, or registered agent service.
